The HyperDeck Studio 12G is the latest addition to Blackmagic Design's HyperDeck product family and aims to replace aging recording equipment in television and post-production studios. It offers users controls in the style of classic video recorders and the ability to record uncompressed 10-bit video with 4:2:2 sampling and in SD or HD resolution, or compressed video sequences in Apple ProRes or DNxHD formats and in SD, HD and Ultra HD resolutions. HyperDeck Studio 12G is the only modern video recorder that is ready for the future! Users can use it with common current SD and HD technology, knowing that they can switch to Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60 at any time in the future.

The amount of detail, the sharpness of the image and the fluidity of movements make Ultra HD formats the ideal tool for live sports broadcasts. The HyperDeck Studio 12G recorder can be used in conjunction with the latest overheads - for example, the ATEM Broadcast Studio 12G model - to record a broadcast program. Multiple HyperDecks can record additional tracks, e.g. 2160p60 signal received from individual camera stations for later post-production.
